My Old Self....

After 9 months of a stretched out belly and giving birth to Gemma, today I finally felt like I looked like me again! (Of course I still have a little pooch in the middle :() So of course I had to take a few pictures and boost my esteem just a little :). I'm sure to some of you this is a little weird but I bet you've taken pictures of yourself too.

I'm not conceded, except for maybe today, (just kidding), but I think we all are allowed to take some pride in ourselves like this every once and a while. Wouldn't you say?
Once I post this I'll probably feel like an idiot. Yep, I feel like an idiot, but a pretty good looking idiot at least :). Okay, okay, I am really just kidding. I'm usually not into myself like this.

Songs from the Heart

The other day my brother Thomas was telling me about his girlfriend Maquel and how they made cd's for each other with songs that let each other know how they felt about one another. A light bulb shined bright over my head and I decided that, as a surprise for Vance, I would do the same thing. (Thanks lil brother!) So, late last night I got it all put together and titled it "Always on My Mind". Vance has been feeling pretty bad about his best friend Oakly he's been missing and I can't be there for him so he'll be getting a surprise in the mail of how much I love him. I think he'll like it since I haven't done something like this before.
It feels pretty good to do something for someone else in a surprise kind of way that I wish I did it more often. Hense, this is now one of my new goals, (as if I have many), to be selfless and more aware of the needs of others.

Baby Talk

Just when I thought I couldn't love her anymore, another day comes around! She loves to talk! Every morning Vance and Gemma have a talking session and it's just the cutest thing. Unfortunatly I don't have video of that yet but I do have this.....

Colorado Bound

I decided to make the long journey of 7 hours from Blanding, Ut to Canon City, Co to visit my Inlaws. It was well worth the trip!! Everyone was finally able to see Gemma for the first time and I was finally able to see everyone for the second time. It was such a blast but the only down fall about the whole thing was that my sweety couldn't come. (Darn work, but truly greatful for!) Gemma had non stop love'n the entire mini vacation with all her Aunts and Uncles and of course the Grandparents, even the Greats! This is one trip that Vance and I need to continue.
